Brighten a Child’s Christmas – Ronald McDonald House
I need your help with something. Will you help me? This tree represents the darkness and loneliness a child experiences while battling illness or injury. While we may not be able to cure them, there is something we ALL can do. A donation to Ronald McDonald House can help bring light to this darkness.
There are many candles on this tree, but only one of them is lit. As much as it tries, this one candle alone cannot dispel the darkness. However, if ALL THE CANDLES were lit, it would bring light to the entire tree.
We need you to light a candle for Christmas. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all come together and work to light this tree?
Each candle on this tree represents one of our 89 members. One candle will be lit for every person who makes a donation. If every member participates by donating $5.00 (or more), we will be able to raise at least $445.00!
Let’s face it, times are tough! Some members may really want to help, but feel like a very small donation will not matter. As you watch our tree slowly light up, you will realize that every donation counts!
Every week we will update our tree and post it on our social media sites to help remind us to light our candle. The last day to participate is December 20, 2020. When you light your candle, your name will be added to the Christmas card that we will be giving to the Ronald McDonald House with our donation.

Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting was noticed via the November SMPA Today in The Liaison for Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Blount Mansion Visitor’s Center. The luncheon will be catered by Ham’N Goody’s as a holiday box lunch. Please RSVP to
